5 AI Marketing Hacks to Save Time & Boost Results

5 AI Marketing Hacks to Save Time & Boost Results

Artificial intelligence: two words that bring about a LOT of opinions. And for good reason!

As with most technology tools, there’s good and bad.

If you’re worried that AI will be the death of creativity and take away human jobs, here’s a different perspective for you:

AI isn’t a replacement, it’s a partner.

The DCM Krewe has been using AI in our workflows for months. The results? More efficiency, better engagement, and time saved so we can focus it where it really matters – helping our clients (and you in case you haven’t joined the DCM fam yet 😉)!

Here are five AI marketing hacks we actually use to streamline our content creation process while keeping strategy and brand voice at the forefront.

AI Hack #1: Blog Titles & Email Subject Lines

A baller title or subject line can be the difference between hundreds and/or thousands+—depending on your email list size—of eyes on your message and:

If you’re coming up empty or you just want to make sure your content counts, try this:

Step 1. Take your blog or email text, pop it into the AI tool of your choosing. We’re partial to ChatGPT over here. (More tips on using it here.)

Step 2. Ask it to generate [insert desired number] title or subject line options that are optimized to increase open rates (and then click through rates!) for your specific audience.

Step 3. This is the big one…

Put your human eyes on the results.

(Get ready for us to sound like a broken record with this piece of advice!) Find your favorite and then refine for clarity, personality, and alignment with your audience and brand.

AI Hack #2: Repurposing Content Across Social Platforms

First things first, you do NOT need to be everywhere online. Think about where your target audience spends the majority of their time. Then, look at the platforms you already use and feel comfortable with.

The sweet spot? Where your audience is active and you can show up consistently without it feeling like a chore. Keep it simple!

Once you decide which platforms make sense for your business, lean into reworking content you already have instead of starting from scratch every time. AI tools make repurposing content an absolute breeze.

Step 1. Take that blog post or other long-form content and ask AI to create a new caption for LinkedIn or [insert platform of your choice].

Step 2. Review and tweak it to match your brand voice and business goals just as you did in Step 3 of the email subject line process.

AI Hack #3: Smarter Hashtags & SEO Keywords

Hashtags and SEO keywords can work wonders for getting more eyes on your content but the research to know which ones will actually work can be a major time suck when SEO isn’t your full time job.

Instead, run your content through AI and ask it to provide relevant hashtags or SEO keywords. The technology will analyze real-time trends and engagement for you. Then, cross-check its recommendations to ensure they align with your content strategy and audience.

Bonus points: Once you’ve landed on your SEO keywords, use AI to draft a brief, optimized metadata description to use in your meta tags and boost your content’s search engine ranking.

AI Hack #4: Personalizing Email

As a regular DCM blog reader, you know that a solid email marketing strategy MUST be personalized. So, be sure to segment your email list and send content that is tailored to those segments. Your subscribers like to feel special!

Reaching out to different segments of your list—say, clients vs. prospects?

Write one great email, then let AI help you tweak it for each group. Then, review the variations to ensure they reflect your brand voice and make sense for each audience.

AI Hack #5: Outlining Long-Form Content

When you’re trying to draft content, there are few things that strike more fear than the dreaded blank page.

One of the parts that takes the longest in writing long-form content is organizing everything you want to say in a logical way. Putting your scattered thoughts into AI allows you to bypass that banging-your-head-against-the-wall stage completely.

Step 1: Tell AI what you’re trying to write and for who.

Step 2: Include any parameters that matter to you, like word count, writing style, etc.

Step 3: Bid farewell to blank page paralysis.

Final Thoughts

Let’s say it one more time: AI IS NOT replacing human creativity anytime soon. After all:

AI output is only as good as what humans input.

But this technology can make your marketing workflows and content creation much faster and more efficient.

The next time you feel hung up on moving forward with a marketing task, think about how AI might be able to make it easier, less time-consuming, or more efficient for you.
