How To Stop Being Overwhelmed by Marketing as an Entrepreneur
Do you ever feel just totally overwhelmed with all the things you hear about how to market your business?
“You need an opt-in and then that should lead to a funnel that nurtures your audience to sale.”
“You should be posting on Instagram every day.”
“You should be spending at least 30 minutes a day networking on LinkedIn.”
“You need to emailing your list regularly.”
“You should be creating blog content _________ times a week.”
“You should think about digital products to sell in addition to your services.”
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg of the advice and “you shoulds” out there. It’s overwhelming, stressful and can often lead you to feeling like you are failing somehow if you aren’t ticking every single box.
I know 100% how you feel. I’ve been there. (Hell, I have been there just this week!) BUT, I also am able to push past those feelings of overwhelm because I remember a few key things that I am now going to share with you.
It all starts with managing your own expectations for your marketing efforts.
That is what I am going to teach you how to do because it doesn’t seem there is enough of this advice out there. I built a business all about marketing and teaching small business owners, event professionals, and solopreneurs how to do your marketing & sales more effectively – and efficiently!
It’s my full time job, but that does not mean it has to be yours. You can have a business without being a full-time marketer. Yes, you must do marketing & sales in order to have a business, without it you have a hobby, but that does not mean it has be what you focus on 100% of your time.
The key is not doing ALL the things, but rather knowing how to choose what is right for your business and doing those things really well.
Now, let’s get to the goods on how you can stop feeling overwhelmed by marketing.
