Easy to Understand Basics of SEO for Business Owners
SEO (search engine optimization) is often thrown around as a big scary thing that only “experts” know about and business owners just need to trust them to handle it because of how complicated it is to both understand and execute. However, I’m call BS on that friends because here’s the real truth:
SEO is not brain surgery!
And let’s be real, even if it was that complicated, brain surgeons still have to learn from someone too. So it may be super complex but not something unteachable.
Any true marketer should be 100% be able to teach you what goes into a successful SEO strategy. (I’m about to prove it too😜) This should not be a terrifying acronym and/or seem like a momentous, insurmountable mountain to climb. What it does need to be seen as is the long-game strategy. It’s the do a little bit, every day, and over time you rank higher kind of strategy. It is NOT a one size fits all or an “SEO my site please!” and next thing you are on page 1 of Google kind of strategy.
So now that we’ve gotten the miscommunications and marketing speak out of the way, let’s focus on what you need to know about SEO, how it works and ways to cut through the crap when an “expert” talks do you about SEO like you aren’t capable of speaking the same language they do. (You started a business. I know you can understand this.)
